Online Power of Attorney Notarization in Dubai

A practical route for preparing and coordinating an eligible Power of Attorney through Dubai’s digital notarization process.

What this service covers

We help you prepare a Power of Attorney for an eligible electronic notarization route: clarify the purpose, organise the parties’ information, review the wording and coordinate the authority steps. For other document services, the appropriate route is checked separately.

Dubai legislation allows designated notary work to use digital processes for identity verification, remote communication, electronic signatures and related procedures without requiring the concerned parties to appear in person. Whether a particular POA can use that route still depends on the authority’s channel, the document, the parties and the receiving authority’s requirements.

MOJ e-Notary support for non-residents

If you are not a UAE resident, we can help assess the transaction, prepare its documents and coordinate notarization through the UAE Ministry of Justice MOJ e-Notary system when the federal route’s requirements are met. Available options are not limited to the Dubai Courts process; the appropriate route depends on the instrument, the parties and the organisation receiving it.

Start with the transaction’s purpose, where the principal or parties are located, the receiving organisation and the identity documents available. We confirm the MOJ-specific registration, verification, signing and supporting-document requirements for your request. Non-resident status does not remove identity checks, and notarization may not replace any further attestation or translation.

Dubai Courts: how the online process usually works

1. Confirm the purpose and destination

Start with what the representative must do and where the POA will be used. A property sale, vehicle transfer, company matter, court representation or family instruction may need different powers and supporting information. A broad title alone does not make a POA suitable for every transaction.

2. Prepare the parties and wording

Identify the principal and attorney exactly as shown on their identity documents. Set out the powers, limits, duration and any transaction details. Review the draft before any signing step. If the receiving body needs Arabic, English or a legal translation, confirm that before proceeding.

3. Submit the request and documents through the approved channel

Dubai’s digital-process rules describe account creation through a Courts-adopted digital channel, selection of the service, entry of the required data and upload of the required documents. The applicable channel—not this public page—determines the live form, accepted file types and payment step.

4. Complete identity, capacity and consent checks

For a telecommunications route, the concerned notary reviews the request and documents, then contacts the party through a Courts-approved videoconferencing programme to verify identity and capacity and confirm consent to the electronic document. Use a suitable device and attend the scheduled call. A request can be rejected if identity, capacity or consent cannot be verified.

5. Confirm, sign and receive the electronic document

Where the digital route applies, the process may include a one-time password, the electronic signature and digital seal of the notary, followed by a copy of the completed electronic document sent to the party’s personal email. Follow the live instructions from the competent authority and do not treat a draft or upload receipt as a notarized POA. Use verification codes only in the authority’s approved process; do not share them in an enquiry message.

General preparation checklist

  • Principal and attorney details, including names, nationality and contact information as requested by the channel.
  • A clear description of the powers, restrictions, duration and intended use.
  • Identity or digital-identity information required by the authority. Dubai’s rules refer to a digital identity for UAE nationals and residents, and a unified entry-permit number for a non-UAE resident.
  • The supporting record for the transaction, if applicable: property or title-deed details, vehicle registration details, company licence or constitutional documents and signatory authority, court or case details, or family-status records.
  • Any Arabic text, certified legal translation, original-document check or additional authority form required for the particular request.

Requirements vary by case. Do not publish passports, Emirates IDs, signatures, title deeds or other sensitive documents in comments or on this public page. After you contact us, we can explain what is needed and the appropriate channel for the request.

Choose the POA route that matches the transaction

Match the powers and limits to the transaction, and check any required wording with the receiving organisation before signing. Explore the relevant service below:

Questions about online POA notarization

Is every Power of Attorney eligible for online notarization?

No. Eligibility depends on the competent authority’s available digital service, the document and parties, identity and capacity checks, and the receiving body’s requirements. We confirm the route before you rely on it.

Do you help non-residents through the MOJ e-Notary system?

Yes. We help UAE non-residents prepare transactions and coordinate notarization through the UAE Ministry of Justice MOJ e-Notary system, subject to the transaction’s eligibility and the system’s requirements. This federal route is separate from the Dubai Courts channel. We review the purpose, parties, identity documents and receiving organisation’s requirements before confirming the steps; Dubai-channel requirements are not automatically applied to an MOJ request.

What happens during remote identity verification?

The concerned notary may review the request and uploaded documents, contact the party by an approved video-conferencing programme, verify identity and capacity, and confirm consent to the electronic document. The approved channel may then require a one-time password and electronic signature.

Can someone outside the UAE complete the process?

We support non-resident requests through the MOJ e-Notary route when its requirements are met. If the transaction uses Dubai Courts instead, that channel has its own digital-identity and entry-permit rules. Tell us where you are located and where the POA will be used so the appropriate route and identity requirements can be confirmed.

What if the POA will be used outside the UAE?

Confirm the receiving country or organisation’s requirements before signing. A Dubai-notarized POA may need separate attestation, embassy or consular steps, or certified legal translation for use abroad. If you are bringing a POA issued abroad into a Dubai property transaction, the Dubai Land Department has its own formal ratification requirements; check that route separately.

How long does online POA notarization take?

Same-day completion is available for eligible requests when the required documents and the relevant authority’s requirements are complete. We confirm the expected timeline after reviewing your request. Authority review, identity checks, translation, attestation or amendments may require more time; completion and acceptance are not guaranteed.

How do I start without sharing sensitive documents publicly?

Tell us the purpose, destination and parties first. Do not post identity documents, signatures or title deeds on this page. We will explain the information and channel needed after the initial contact.
